Mon, 18 August 2008 Noisemaker Episode 1 starts out with Bert's gaming creds. Then, we take a walk on the Dunnigan side as Bert reviews James F. Dunnigan's book A Complete Wargaming Handbook. After this, Bert gives his reasons for playing "manual" wargames vs. "computer" wargames. Finally, Bert closes out the episode with a detailed analysis of the battle of Salamis. He tells you how to build your own fleet of 1/600 scale Triremes out of popsicle sticks and toothpicks. (It's shockingly simple...). The whole episode lasts only an hour, and Bert gets a lot done. He even foreshadowes next month's battle...
