Mon, 22 June 2009 So, I've been playing with my old lego sets lately. Big deal, right? Anyway, I use what I have to make my miniatures for wargaming... Legos work well, especially when it comes to building mechs! Here are a set of rules for miniature wargaming with futuristic battle mechs. They need a bit of refining, a project I'm currently working on as it is. But if you would like to try these out, tell me what you think! Comments[0] | ||||||||||||||||||

Turns: 1 Turn= 1 Week Types of Cities: Capitals Economy: All Civic Centers roll a D6 Capitals: 10
Production of Units: Only Capitals and Cities can produce units. Only one type of unit can be produced per turn. The unit being produced is a company (group of figures as we get into the skirmish rules). Example: A city is producing one unit for a turn, the player decides to produce cavalry; they cannot produce any other types of units for that turn. Experience of Produced Units: The more turns a player chooses to take in training a unit will increase the unit’s experience and quality.
Movement: An army (several groups of company’s) may move up to 4 spaces per turn if they are on the road. An army may move up to 2 spaces per turn if they are off of the road. Once an army moves off of the road their movement stops immediately. If an army ends their turn 1 square away from any city, that city rolls an economy -1. Example: Army A is 1 square from a city, that city would roll economy D6. It rolls and gets a 3 roll. Normally it would receive 6 tributes but with a 3 roll it will be halved (3) and since it has an Army within 1 square from city it will receive 2 tributes (-1).
Building Forts An Army may choose to build a fort. Building a fort near a city/town alleviates the -1 economy of that town. It takes 4 turns to build a fort. A fort is useful because it can support more troops and does not affect the city/town nearby. A fort may support up to 3 troop units.
